The Challenge: Service Projects Wanted!

Aroostook Aspirations Initiative is working hard to CSC_White_nologo (1)put together a one-of-a-kind event in Aroostook County, and we need your help! The County Service Challenge, taking place on May 21, 2016, is a County-wide community service event designed to connect people with service projects that are in need of volunteers.

We want anyone and everyone in Aroostook to come out and complete service projects in their local community!

What projects will be completed that day?  Well, that’s up to you!

From now until February 26th, service project application forms can be completed by anyone in Aroostook County.

Step 1. Simply introduce your project and explain why you feel that it would benefit your community.

Step 2. Identify who will be the site supervisor for that event. The site supervisor is the person who will instruct the volunteers at the project site.

Step 3. Click Submit! The County Service Committee will review and select projects all over Aroostook County!

You can find the online form here:    http://gauvinfund.org/csc-application/

I thought you said this was a challenge!

It is!  Community members, schools, and cities/towns will have the opportunity to win recognitions by participating in the event!  These recognitions are based on:

  • Project Impact
  • Percentage of participants per community
  • Student participation

…and many others!

Once the projects have been selected, participants will be able to register for the County Service Challenge, and more event information will be released!  Stay tuned!
